About Jennifer
Jennifer F. Arthur is a second generation native to Southern California, in addition to having lived in Atlanta, GA and Denver, CO. Having grown up in a highly creative family she is a lover of all things arts, culture, cuisine and travel.
With a combined 30 years professional experience across multiple sectors, including start ups, higher education, nonprofits, and interior design she considers herself a Jane-of-all-trades, and a master of some.

Her love of writing started in the college with poetry, which she both wrote and recited at open mics throughout the city, and those she hosted quarterly in her home.
Philanthropy has been on her heart and mind since a young adult, which led her to attain her Master’s of Social Work (Class of 2004) from the University of Southern California, with an emphasis in nonprofit management and leadership. Her lifelong dream is to create a foundation for the purpose of establishing arts, entrepreneurship, and economic development programs for underserved communities.
Jennifer’s goal as an author is to use her life journey experience to impart to others the lessons she considers valuable and has gleaned along the way. As a screenwriter, much like her varied professional background she finds it difficult to be type cast into any one genre as her tastes in TV & Film are wide and diverse. Her works include drama, romance, sci-fi, fantasy and animation. The thread that binds these genres together is her use of story as a vehicle for shedding light on societal issues such as poverty & class disparities, mental health & trauma, and faith.
With respect to music she is just as eclectic in her tastes. Having been raised by parents who loved smooth Jazz she was often one of the few children frequenting Jazz festivals all over Los Angeles. As a teenager she discovered her own musical path and was heavily drawn to East Coast and West Coast Hip Hop, and was later introduced to Alternative Rock. Her musical style is inspired by such greats as Sade, Tracy Chapman, Natalie Merchant, and more recent greats as Ruth B., Yebba, and Billie Eilish.
